Why do you have to chop? Is it because the leaves are showing signs of being damaged?
3 LikesIf the leaves don’t have any green they aren’t helping the plant. Since there’s been three fully pink leaves in a row it likely will keep producing those which would eventually cause the plant to die because it’s not getting enough energy. To try to get it to produce green managing you chop it back and hope it has green again when it pushes out new ones from there.
5 LikesOh, got it. I didn’t know that. I’m an inexperienced variegated owner, as you can see. Thank you for sharing the information. I wish you many greens after chopping!
3 LikesI leave mine alone 🤷🏽♂️ the leaves can harden and turn green if they need
0 LikesI would leave them alone generally except this baby is a freshly acclimated tissue culture and rare so I don’t want to compromise her chances of thriving. 🥰
