Hi!! I am needing to repot my heart leaf philo. Does anyone have any advice for me?? I am scared that once I repot it, it will die. It is currently still in the nursery pot. Then I set the nursery pot inside the larger orange one that is in the picture. I noticed roots coming through the bottom of the nursery pot so I’m thinking it’s time to transfer it. Any advice helps!

Roots coming out of the bottom doesn’t necessarily mean it’s time for a repot, roots showing could be attracted to moisture under the pot and not a sign of overgrowth. Take the plant out and examine the root ball, if there are more roots than dirt or it’s in the wrong soil then I’d recommend repotting.

I just got one of these a while ago too and repotted it this weekend! At least for me, I didn’t disturb the root ball too much, just knocked some older soil off/teased the bottom a tad to be open for the new pot with fresh chunky soil. Just allow it time to adjust to your place if you just got it, save it from shock. Mine is doing just fine from this ^
