Anyone have any idea why those two smallest leaves are SO light? I thought maybe a root problem was happening, so I just put her in a new pot and her roots looked great. I would say it's an overwatering issue but if anything, I underwater. I just don't want them to die, she's been doing SO well lately
do you add fertilizer/plant food? my guess would be not enough light / nutrients. underwatering also causes yellowing leaves, yellowing is a result of the plant trying to conserve energy. i’d go ahead and chop the yellow leaves so that your plant can focus its energy on the healthy leaves.
4 Likes She does get fertilizer in her water whenever I get told to. I took them off, hopefully she can support new leaves in the future
0 LikesAs a plant matures it will “kill” off the older/smaller leaves, especially the immature ones at the beginning. Your plant looks perfectly fine and is doing exactly what it should. If I have leaves yellowing (not due to a pest/root issue) I’ll usually leave them until I can easily pull them off the plant. The plant will be sucking all the nutrients from that leaf, so I like to let my plants do their thing :)
