Should I clip the top to help growth? Im really new to this and would like any advice you have. I’m not even entirely sure what type it is but it’s my favourite.

I would say the pot is too big, and it’s not getting enough light or support. That’s why the leaves have big gaps between them, and why the leaves are getting smaller. Light = bigger leaves, but if there isn’t enough support the leaves will start to size down so the plant doesn’t topple. I would clip it back at the base, repot in a smaller one, and bring it into a higher light situation. And maybe the pot is the right size, it just looks too big in the photo. You can root the clipped off parts in spagnum moss or water for more plants.

1 likeI can’t say for sure, bc I am new, too, but I switched all of my plants that I potted in decorative ceramic pots to slightly smaller plastic nursery pots w/lots of holes for drainage then put those inside the decorative pots. I found that most of my decorative ceramic pots only had one drainage hole and it didn’t seem enough. That may be totally unrelated but your pot looks a lot like the pots I have that gave me root rot issues. I had to switch up my soil for better draining mix, too.
