I just got this plant and was wondering if the roots look healthy. It was a cutting from a variegated violin and potted in soil .

    It doesn’t look great to me, but sometimes roots get dark like that from potting medium. Give it a gentle tug and see if it stays intact. If it comes off or breaks with light traction then it was going to fall or rot off anyway and leaving it attached wouldn’t have helped. That little white one looks great regardless. It’s a little hard to tell: is the stem still firm and healthy-feeling or is it soft/mushy/slimy at all? These guys can come back effectively from root rot but stem rot is a much bigger threat.
