I was given this philodendron brasil and it was viciously murdered. Suspect attached. I propagated as much as I could and replanted in same pot. Do we think it looks like it might survive?

    Yes if you cutting have nodes it will root. I would add some prop drops

    Innocent. 100% innocent 😹. It'll survive. You'll grumble every time you look at it, though. The cat and the plant 😂. We've all been there.

    Add rooting hormone powder or liquid. Hang the cuttings high away from disaster. 🤣🪴🍀

      Yeah the propagation station is usually safe and out of the way. I already planted all the propagations. Is the rooting hormone powder or liquid for when they’re in the water?

      The rooting hormone triggers the plant to produce more roots in any medium. Pothos typically produce their own rooting hormone. I add it to help the plant. 🪴🍀

      Like this? I have heard that when I’m supposed to fertilize during winter though so I am wondering if this fall outside of that rule

      This Bonide product does have the plant rooting hormone Indole-3-butyric Acid (IBA). It should work. 🪴🍀

    Just be careful, it’s very toxic to pets!! Your cat is so cute! 🥰 If he’s biting the plant make sure it’s totally out of reach! I had to rearrange mine too - same reason! 😂

      It’s upstairs now out of reach. But it’s still not doing very well despite all of the propagations having had tons of roots. And I added some of that root powder to my last watering. It’s in a bright window. I’m just trying to leave alone and see what it does at this point.

      Oh, I have one in recovery too… it’s taking a while as well. I had to repot it - previous pot had a bad drainage! Good luck and best wishes! 🍀
