I’m sorry for the multiple posts. For some reason I was not able to post more than one photo with a comment.

There are several philodendrons with similar shaped leaves. I’m not going to pretend like I know all the distinguishing features 😅 But I think I know some. Florida green has slightly reddish petioles with a bumpy texture. It’s a hybrid of of pedatum and squamiferum. Pedatum aka “glad hands” has smooth green petioles. Squamiferum has hairy red petioles. Green dragon will have leaves that are longer than they are wide, but it might be hard to tell before the plant matures. There’s also bipennifolium aka “horse head.” Their leaves also trend on the long side, but they have fewer lobes than green dragon. I think that’s all the ones I know of. I hope that helps and doesn’t just make it more complicated 😅

🤯 I truly wish I understood those terms. I’ll need to do some research. Thank you 🪴

Haha sorry! I get too into it sometimes. Petiole is the word for the stem that connect the leaf to the stalk/vine of the plant. Lobes are rounded shapes on the leaves. Like if a leaf is shaped like a heart 💚, the round bumps that make up the top of the heart are two lobes

Thank you for the education. Mine appears to be a ‘Florida Green’ as labeled at purchase And further supported based on your description of the slightly reddish petioles with a bumpy texture. I learned something new! I’m seeing upon closer look that my Florida Green doesn’t seem to have the slight color variegation that TimG’s plant has. I’ll be more careful with identification going forward. This is geeky and fun.

I did some searching and think it might be a philodendron squamiferum
