Hi! Looking for advice. My silver sword philodendron has a weird small little bubble on it. Has anyone seen anything like that before? Is it cause for concern /what should I do? Overall he seems really happy and has grown several new leaves since I got him. I keep him in a cabinet with grown lights and fans with humidity around 50-60. Any help is appreciated!

I think it’s called oedema. It happens when the roots take up more water than the plant is using. Do you think it might have been overwatered recently?

I would agree that it’s probably edema.

I try to wait till it’s mostly dry, but not fully dry, so maybe I will have to let it dry out more.

Does anyone know if I cut back a bit on the water will it eventually go away?

I just posted the same thing and looks just like yours! I squeezed the water out of it hopefully that was okay!
