Help please! I got this philodendron brazil about 2 weeks ago and repotted it right away (probably should’ve waiting until spring…). Now, it’s looking very sad and the leaves are withering. The soil is dry so I want to water it, but I tend to be an over-waterer, so I want to make sure that won’t make the situation worse. Any advice is appreciated!

TBH my Brazil did not do very well in soil. I now grow him completely hydroponically and he’s doing great.

That’s sounds more like a you problem than a problem for a plant that literally originated from the ground.

You should also wait to repot plants like 2 weeks so they get a chance to acclimate to your home when they are new

I’ve had Pothos / philodendrons die on me like this before, but I’ve been able to save them by taking some cuttings and propagating in water. I’d take a few cuttings to put in water so that if it does end up dying, you can start fresh from your cuttings and not lose the plant entirely.

Just water when the soil is 1 inch fully dry and ALWAYS water after a repot no matter what.
