Hi all, looking for suggestions for my philodendron white princess (pretty sure). I recently got it, let it adjust and put it on a pebble tray in a bright window with only a couple hours of direct sun. I started noticing small brown spots, that then turned a bigger slimy spot, that is now drying up. I also noticed some mottling, and treated it for spider mites. It seemed to not be drying out very well, so I just repotted with a mix of soil, perlite and orchard bark. Am I in the right track or is there something I’m missing? Not sure that I can get the white back to how it was when it came. Does anyone know what the brown is from? Thanks for any help!

That slimy stuff from what I’ve read sometimes appears when there’s extract water it can’t digest, it’s kind of normal but for ur case I’d say overwatering. Try drying out the soil between watering sessions!
