Hello! When I watering (and fertilizing) my philodendron this morning I noticed a couple little guys peaking out the bottom. Is it time to repot it? I’ve had it since August, but I’m not sure of its history from the shop I bought it at. Also, it’s winter/fall where I live. Is it too late to propagate?

You have to carefully remove the pot to check if the plant is root bound. It’s root bound if the root ball looks like a wicker basket! Some plants are happy being root bound like hoyas and spider plants. Other plants start to wither, become yellow and drop leaves. Your plant looks great with no crispy dry or yellowing leaves. One root coming out the drain hole is not an issue unless the roots block the drain holes. Blocked drainage leads to root and stem rot. You can repot and propagate indoor plants anytime. They grow faster in the warmer months. Upgrade to one pot size larger. Use a rooting hormone powder to help the roots grow out quicker when propagating into soil.
