Really struggling with my pink princess. I’ve had her since June and she’s pushed out 1.5 leaves. Is it normal for new PPP leaves to take 1-2 months and look like this? It’s like she’s stuck and I’m not sure if there’s anything I can do. My other philodendrons don’t have this problem :(

    I had the same issue with my PPP. I’m not sure where you live, but I’m in Florida. I put them on the porch and they took off because of the humidity. It pushes out a new leaf every other week now.

      Yep, agreed. It’s so common for hybrid philodendrons, especially PPP. If you don’t have a humid place to put it, folks have said they have success draping a damp paper towel over the stuck leaf for an hour or so

      I’m so glad it isn’t just me! I’m in Michigan, it isn’t super humid but I’ll see if it helps, thank you!

    I’ve seen ppl use a wet qtip to let it out but I’m always too scared I will rip it so I just put a humidifier next to it

      I think this is the push I needed to get a humidifier finally! The last leaf I did help out a little and I can’t tell if it was bad for the leaf so I’m scared to try again :(

      Yeah they r so delicate it’s scary lol I bough one off Amazon for like 20$ and i like it bc it doesn’t need a whole lot of room. U have to charge it every day if ur gonna use it that much tho bc the battery isn’t great but I dnt mind it much

    i have a new ppp and people told me that humidity is great for them especially when they’re letting out new leaves! i don’t have a humidifier just yet so i’ve been slightly misting the stems just where the new leaves show up (sometimes i wet my finger and run it rlly gently over the area) and i’ve avoided stuck leaves this way so far :)

      also i’m a michigander too so i understand how dry it can be.. people keep telling me the kinds of plants that i have are usually fine in indoor humidity levels and i’m like you don’t understand the circumstances we are dealing with here LOL
