I thought it was cool the first time I caught my princess “crying”; when a few drips of water come out the tips of her leaves. She’s relatively new, and I’m still learning. What wasn’t cool was finding her overloaded with water exploding out the side of her leaves rupturing the cells I’m sure and the leaf turns to mush. Obviously I gave her too much to drink.. but I’m wondering how dry do I let her go? My hygrometer hit at a 3 when planta told me to water, it’s the highest “dry” rating you can get before it’s moist. I decided, sure sounds good.. and here we are.

    That’s transpiration! It’s totally normal and nothing to worry about. For my philos, I wait until 1.5-2 on the water meter so you could always wait a bit longer.
