    Did you just buy this beauty? I have a black cardinal philodendron that had dots like that when I first got it. All the new leaves since the have been fine. That doesn’t really answer your question, but the new leaves should be fine. Maybe someone else has more info

      yes, I found it at the grocery store, so I’m not sure if it’s some sort of disease or not

      I don’t think it is, but I don’t know for sure. It doesn’t look like any pest damage I’m familiar with, so that’s good new

    Could be over watered I just obtained one that has the same thing but the new leaf is fine
