Hi all. This is my philodendron campii lynette. She’s trying to push a new leaf but it appears to be stuck! It’s already split 😢 Anybody have experience with this and tips on what to do when this happens?

Help it by releasing the tip. It could keep tearing as it bends when the tip is stuck.

I’m so sorry that happened to you! My Pink Princess did the same thing to a really promising pink leaf! You can wet a q-tip and wet the sheath and gently ease the rest out but, the damage is done. A lot of the time with philos the leaves get stuck when it goes dry for too long or there isn’t enough humidity. My Green Princess never had a problem but my Pink Princess is notorious for it. 🪴Grow with me on IG: @growwithamberlowe

Thanks for the tip! Never had a problem with any of my other philos. But this one had extra long leaves so I wouldn’t be surprised if it happens again. This is our first new leaf together. Nice to have some ideas ready for next time 😊
