I have this pink princess philodendron and unfortunately she’s not very pink. Any one know why?

My guess is not getting enough light to encourage variegation. All my ppp are from big box stores and started popping out more pink leaves after improving their living conditions :)

Unfortunately some variegated plants revert back to plain leaves. Sometimes you can coax new leaves with pink out by increasing lighting. I sometimes hear recommendations to chop the plant back to the last variegated leaf, but I think yours is too small for that

She’s been sitting with grow lights for the past month but none of the new leaves have any variegation

While you’ve had her, has she ever had any pink on her leaves? I can’t see any in the pic

I just got her as a cutting about a month and a half ago

Hmm… I think it’s reverted… keep at it with plenty of indirect lighting and 🤞

I’ve read that a lot has to do with genetics (how pink the parent plant was) but I have seen “burgundy” princesses get more pink with proper lighting. Mine isn’t very pink either but since moving her to my W window she has sooo many new leaves so I’m hopeful! 🌱Grow with me on IG: @growwithamberlowe
