hello! how often to you all water you split leaf philos? i’ve followed a strict schedule but the leaves on mine are yellowing.. help!

    I’ve found that sticking to a watering schedule isn’t very accurate for telling you when to water plants. Even by checking if the top 2 inches of the soil is dry, it doesn’t necessarily tell you how wet the soil is around the roots. Personally I like using a moisture meter, and whenever it’s time to water that plant on my schedule, I’ll use the moisture meter to check how moist the soil is. You can get them on Amazon for like $10

    A wooden chopstick works well too! I agree with the person above. Sticking to a schedule isn’t going to give you the best results. I use my reminders more as guidelines. I always check the soil with either a chopstick or my moisture metre and only water if needed. If not I snooze for 2 days, check again, and just repeat until the plant needs it.
