Has anyone had this happen? I’ve had this Brasil for about a month now. It has grown a bit, and has some new healthy growth still coming in, but these two spots where it looks like it wanted to push out new leaves turned brown and haven’t done anything, which I find odd and I’ve never had this happen to any of my other philodendrons before. Should I trim them off? Trim off a bit higher and try to propagate? Leave it alone and see if it eventually turns into new leaves? Not sure what I should do about it especially since other areas of it are healthy and still growing.

Probably not enough water when it was making that leaf.

Sometimes they get stuck. You can spritz with water everyday to keep it slick enough to have an easier time unfurling. I watched a vid on the Tok where a lady wrapped a warm washcloth around the leaf and it opened immediately. If it gets choked out and turns brow, I would just snap that stem off and it will grow again.
