Hello I am new to this app and I have this plant that I have had for about 4 years. When I first got it, it was just one stem with a leaf. I’ve repotted it a couple times and water it about once a week. It’s just gotten so big that I’m not sure what to do with it and also some of the leaves are doing better then others. I was just wondering what i could do to help the leaves grow better and how to arrange it. I also used to have it wrapped around the stand that is in the picture. Thanks!!!

you can cut and prop, stick those in the soil when they’re rooted. or, you can pin some of the vines into the soil and they should root into it on their own and make your philo more bushy.

How would you arrange them for decorating? Until I either prop or pin the vines. Also what do you mean by pin? I’m new to plant terminology and growing 😅 I’m just now trying to learn 😂

i mean like an actual bobby pin! place them gently around the vine and stick it in the soil! or, amazon sells specially made plant clips. for decorating, i think i’d just get a trellis for some of it maybe, since it has so much pot space atm!

I don’t even pin mine. I just curl the vines back into the pot and the roots just find a way into the soil.

Also too the gaps between leaves means it’s not getting enough bright indirect light and or consistent watering

love that length but it looks a little leggy (meaning its leaves grow separated because they don’t get enough light). I recently chopped my philo down (she also had a good bit of length) and propagated all of the leggy bits. by chopping the plant it encouraged so much new growth on the mother plant! when my chopped bits started to root I planted them in the same pot. this made my philo look so full and beautiful! I have her in a sunnier spot and I routinely chop her to encourage growth.
