What did I do ?! I’ve never had this issue from a plant before. Is it over watering ? I watered it a few days ago . I’ve had it two weeks .

Looks like leaf edema. Is the soil dry when you water? Might want to check out the roots for any rot

I agree with Magnetic garden I’ve been having similar problems with several of my variegated plants this summer, so I’ve been trying to note possible other factors. Some things that I suspect might be related is leaf spray treatments. I use diy sprays for pest prevention, but since variegated leaves have less pigment, they’re probably even sensitive to typically safe products Another thing I’ve noticed is that it’s very common for philodendrons to “sweat” excess water through their leaves. When their environment is very humid, the water can take a long time to evaporate, or not evaporate at all. That seems to make the tips of my leaves mushy if I don’t help them dry with a cloth or a fan. However, if that’s the case, it would still point back to overwatering or oversaturated soil since those factors increase the amount the plants “sweat” So yeah, check the roots, just to be sure. And then always wait until the soil is fairly dry before watering again. You probably know that already though. But I know that I sometimes overthink about my new plant, especially rares, and make questionable choices due to worry lol. I think I can see a chunky soil mix in your picture. If so, that’s a great choice for philodendrons I really want this same plant lol. I got a GORGEOUS cutting in a mystery node box, but it’s only given me green leaves. Now I can rest until I get my own variegated one lol. I hope yours does well for you!! ☺️
1 likeThank you for your detailed response back! Appreciate it! I have a few other philodendrons and never had this issue . I guess these ones like to be really dry before watering ! It’s not overly humid where the plant is currently. I’ll check the roots to make sure it’s good.

I had the same problem with a similar white princess philodendron with large areas that are white. I got a water meter and check the soil at the bottom of the pot before I water. Though the discolouration didn’t go away on the old leaves I haven’t had any problems with the new leaves and it is sweating much less. I also started to regularly mist it a little to help.
