I bought this floppy guy on clearance the other day and I'm not sure if he needs repotted or not. He had a couple dead leaves that I got rid of and I've held off on watering because soil was damp. Also, the big leaf on the left that's kind of hanging down has a large spot that is soft and thinning. What is the cause? Anyone know? Philodendron Campii, I believe. He's my first Philodendron, care advice?

좋아요 1개No, I just bought it the day before yesterday. Only thing I've done is get rid of the dead/dying leaves. How much larger of a pot do you think I should go up to?
0개 좋아요Ok. So definitely root bound. I tried to take a look at the roots and I can't even pry it from the pot. 🥴 Idk if that's the cause of the leaf issue, but still an issue. Lol Repotting tomorrow for sure.
0개 좋아요 How big is ur pot? Usually what I do is go two sizes bigger cuz the roots cramp n can hurt the plant resulting in it getting distressed and dying she is beautiful tho make sure u mist her leaves too keeping her fresh and free from dust so she can absorb sunlight to grow
좋아요 1개Thank you for your help! I took your advice and repotted her and she's doing a lot better and has started working on some new growth! She still has the damaged leaf, but I've left it alone.
