Hello I was given this plant by my boss since at work she couldn’t take care of it. It has perked up a little bit and I’m just don’t want it to die any suggestions also is it healthy? I think it is.

BretIs she a velvet leaf philodendron? If so, I'd say she looks good. Mine LOVES her moss pole, so I would suggest getting her one, she LOVES to climb.

SunnyShe looks a little neglected. The leaf nodes are far apart on the longest vines indicating it was looking for light or water. The photo shows my plant after it didn’t get enough light in winter months. So, the new growth is leggy. I recommend clipping the long vines since they are leggy. Propagate the clippings n add back with the mother plant when the roots grow. The plant will put out new growth on the current vines. The gaps will hopefully be shorter if the plant is getting sufficient light. A grow light within a foot of the plant running 12 hours a day will help. Fertilize at least once a month. Reduce fertilizer in colder months when the plant grows slower. I add SuperThrive Plant Vitamins to the fertilizer water.

Cut lines for your plant. This will give a fuller plant hiding the soil especially when you put the newly rooted cuttings into the pot.

My Philodendron Rio cuttings grew well with one leaf and node per cutting. It took over a month to get longer roots. I cleaned the water every week. I added diluted fertilizer and SuperThrive Plant Vitamins every week once the roots appeared.
