I’m thinking of trying to grow Rosa Hydroponically, but I’m not sure if that’ll stress her out too much going from soil to water. Any ideas if it would or wouldn’t?

Interesting thing to try! I would wait until I could try it with a cutting to lower the risk but I know that might require waiting a while for a good node.

I have only grown philodendron cuttings in water, not a whole plant, but I recently moved a whole Calathea plant to water and it didn’t seem to shock it at all. You have to make sure to get as much dirt off the roots as possible or it will rot in the water. I soaked my roots in water for a while then carefully rinsed off the dirt. Then I brushed them with a toothbrush. For the first couple weeks in water I checked the roots for rot every couple of days and changed the water when I noticed debris. I did add about a cap’s worth of hydrogen peroxide because some roots did rot. But a month later and she’s got four new leaves growing! I think the process would be the same for your beautiful Rosa.😊

Moving plants from soil to water has never shocked any of my plants… didn’t matter the plant.

Just know soil roots will eventually rot and water roots will grow. But then you can put in pon or leca which is really cool
