Plant Mama Mae

Pest problem! I don’t know what these pests are, I can’t seem to identify them. I’ve tried the classic home-made recipe of water and vinegar but no luck. I don’t want it add soil or fertiliser until it’s solved. Planta only allows me to upload photos, so I tried my best. I have. Great video of them crawling but I can’t post that unfortunately. But they look almost silver and oblong. I think they fly? I’m not sure. I usually see them crawling around the pot in the soil. Anyone who can identify them and help get rid of them, please advise!

they are fungus gnats! i had the same issue a few weeks back, so i checked the drainage and took a step back from watering to minimize and stagnant humidity in the soil/area. i also got these which worked amazingly!!! i opted for black since they were less visible, but there are huge packs of yellow on amazon. after about a week- i’m in the clear. just make sure you move that plant away from the others since they fly and will get into all of them! good luck ((:

Thank you so much! They’re so pesky. I will look into these further. I have so many lurking I tried to make a homemade one but it didn’t really work. But this I’m hoping will do the trick
