My plant lady ( I found her on FB marketplace & she lives close enough) gifted this little guy to me a few weeks ago. After weeks of growth light therapy, I have a LEAF! This is a Philodendron Rio. Also my first time ever growing a plant this ways. Which makes me think I can take on cultures. 🫣 Anything be else dabble in cultures? How’s the experience?
I have killed a few but I have been successful with more than I’ve killed. I really think the source plantlet is importance but the acclimation isn’t really that difficult. Here are a few of mine. 🥰🥰

Agree. The type makes a difference. My success so far has been with an aglaonema and a monstera. The thicker root systems seem easier. Currently, struggling with 2 variegated plants, too much white and the leaves melt, but they're hanging on.
