    Do you have it in bright light?? My variegated plants burn easy on white or pink variegation spots.

    The white parts of highly variegated plants are the weakest part of the plant. Unless your plant is kept in almost perfect conditions, there will be times it experiences some stress. Could be water related, light related, moved to new location, temp change, etc. That added stress will often cause the white areas to turn brown. You can give your plant an added health boost with a silica supplement, which many believe will help prevent the browning. As plant care takers we are not perfect in our care, it’s impossible. Plus we often are not sure what a plant needs. So I’m just saying that the browning is common and will happen to most plants with very large areas of white leaves. Investigate the silica option. I use it for every watering. It also helps your plants fight off pests.

    Burned from the sun. White parts of plants will absorb way more sunlight than the green parts. Turn the pot every few days, misting every other day, and keeping the leaves clean will SLOW the discoloration, not prevent it. It’s nearly unavoidable for this to happen when so much of the surface area is devoid of color.
