Advice needed about Heartleaf Philodendrons….i have several different types that need to be repotted. I have self watering pots that I want to use to make life a little easier. I use chunky soil mixes and wondering if they work well with self watering pots?

I think so! Just be careful not to overwater. I’ve had good luck with my fiddly figs in self watering pots.

I have used self-watering pots previously with my chunky soil mix, and it performs just like a regular mix.

The more drainage the better. You are opening yourself up to serious water issues if you are not absolutely on top of those pots. Good luck and I hope they work well for you. But also maybe trial some plants you don't care about first and see how comfy you are woth the pots first :') I have a monstera I inherited from someone I lost and the self watering pot almost took out the whole plant 😭

Thank you I have never used them and was thinking of if I use a plant that is a little tolerable of overwatering I would have a better chance of survival. I am glad you didn’t lose the whole plant ♥️ it’s heart breaking when that happens.
