New Philodendron mum here (well he’s a few months in my care, mid October’23) and I think my “Pheel” is perfectly happy. The question is do I help the new leaves to break free or do I let them escape on their own?

1 LikeI have a tendency to break them when I try to help with a q-tip… but a little misting can help

Sometimes they need help cause they kink and damage the leaf. Try misting them first, but if you wanna help them you mist it then with a damp q-tip gently pop the stuck leaf out. I’ve broken some trying to help but i can’t help it 😆
2 LikesI recently helped free a new leaf and now it looks a little discolored and deformed, a few days later. Not sure if it’ll recover.
1 LikeThanks for the replies. I’m misting every other day so I’m going to let him do his thing and watch, trying not to hold my breath lol 😜
