I bought this beautiful pathos at a reptile convention months ago, since then I have accidentally watered it with soap water that was inside my sprayer, that I forgot I put in there. Luckily it’s alive but as you can see on the left the white patterns are completely absent in that one leaf, and the white leaves are missing the holes that are inside of them. Is this because of the soap water? does the lack of both the white color and the holes happen naturally? or is there some other factor I should consider.

    Your plant is turning greener because it is looking for more light! If you want more white patterning or marbling, put it in a brighter spot! Also with Pothos, leaves only really grow if watered so if you go a while without watering it could cause a section of the plant to be bare

    As for the perforations (the small holes that go down the spine of the leaf) those really only appear if you have a bushy specimen and there is need for light to pass through to reach leaves behind the outward facing leaves. I have a mature large and variegated Epi Albo growing vertically up a moss pole, and surprisingly I don’t even have perforations. But the Albo patterns on mine are huge and insane!!!

      I would say definitely try a spot with brighter indirect light, and make sure you are rotating them! For fertilizing these babies I like to use something that increases the minerals needed for variegation, so personally I use GT Foliage Focus.

    If you put yours on a moss pole or some sort of vertical support like a treleaf or a cedar wooden plank they should size up and eventually look something like this!
