SCREAMING. My beautiful pothos has just a singular yellow leaf, which obviously means I panic lmao. Why is this?

    If it's literally just the one leaf and the rest are healthy (looks gorgeous from the pic btw), it could be normal! Leaves aren't immortal lol. They die eventually. Looks like the leaf in question was already damaged, which makes sense why the plant would pick that one to sacrifice. 😆 I'd snip it off and keep an eye out for any other yellow leaves

    Yes sometimes if we are a little off with watering (too much or too little) they will drop the older leaves. Usually nothing to be concerned about! For being a very resilient plant they sometimes can be very fickle!

    They throw leaves. I usually have one every time I water and mine are several years old. If you get a large bunch of them, that is usually watering/soil issues. It may mean your soil is not the proper ph or hydrophobic. You may need new soil. If you have a moisture meter with a ph gauge on it, see if your ph is between 6-7. If your soil has become too acidic (can be caused by tap water or too much peat in the soil) it will not absorb the soil nutrients and will throw leaves to save itself.

    Just an old leaf. Worry when the leaf is new. I’d just snip it off so it can put its energy into healthy leaves

    That looks overwatered. The main thing with plants like this and knowing if it is over or under watered is the yellow. The overwatered leaves will wilt, gradually turn yellow, then sometimes present parts of brown before dropping. With underwatering, you'll see it work its way in from the tip. It'll generally turn brown much faster. Another key is the curling. Curling to that degree is usually only an overwatering thing. When underwatered, they do curl, but they overwatered ones will fully flip in on themselves after a certain point, making squares and cone type shapes
