Crunchwrap Supreme

This golden pothos started declining after I repotted it from its black pot with no drainage to a plastic nursery pot of the same size with drainage holes and better draining soil. I bottom water it when the first few inches are dry to the touch/it feels light when I lift it. The leaves started yellowing like crazy so I had to chop her :( What am I doing wrong?

More context: She was in that pot for at least 3 years with not a ton of light! I moved and she got more light for a few months, then once I repotted her it was over.

I would try top watering especially if you have good drainage now. Water in the sink so that you can allow the water to drain out. I water directly with the sink faucet and water until I see water draining out from the bottom of the pot. They like to dry out fully between waters but they also like to be fully soaked when you do water them. Let the pot drain until boring else is coming out (to prevent root rot) and then put her back in her spot! They also like a good mist too.

The drastic change in light may also be a factor, again, just from my experience with the ones I have, they like consistent but bright indirect sun or a very gradual change to brighter light or else they shock a bit

You may be just seeing some transplant shock. Those are a lot of changes at one time. Also I would recommend letting her dry out almost completely before watering. They don’t like too much water. Godspeed! 💚💚

I agree, I think it's the drastic changes (more light and reporting) I hope your cutting grown into an even bigger more beautiful plant! Have you tried Super Thrive? It's amazing to help plants with any big changes like transplant shock. Best of luck to you!
