My uncle gave me these cuttings a few weeks ago. Planta says they are golden pothos but I know they aren’t. I just don’t know what kind they are. Are they ready to plant? If so what’s the best soil for them? I’m newer to house plants so I’m trying to gain as much knowledge as possible.

I don’t think these are ready to plant. I wait until the roots are over 3 inches long and there are secondary roots. When you plant them, I recommend using an aroid mix. After they’re potted, only water them when the soil is completely dry or the leaves start curling.

Should I trim them and make more cuttings or just let them grow?

That’s up to you. I personally prefer to have smaller cuttings because they’re easier to keep in water, but it will probably be healthy either way. I would recommend cutting off the new leaves that are growing on them, because usually when I have new growth like that on a cutting it just ends up dying or never opening. Also, if you do cut them up, I would recommend looking into wet stick propagation as a way to get a few more plants from those cuttings.

I would cut them into smaller sections per the attachment. Use them to fill in a pot. Let the roots get at least 2 inches long before putting them in soil. They like a well draining soil mix with lots of perlite or other aggregate to add better drainage.

Thank you! Just add everything I cut back into water?

Yes. Propogate them the same way. You will need more containers to avoid crowding or tangling the roots.
