Hey y’all. New plant lover here! I have what I believe is a golden pothos that I have been propagating a cut off piece from. I was wondering if the white spots on there are normal? Also the roots seem to be getting browner (the picture with no flash) as well and want to make sure that’s ok. I have it sitting in a mason jar full of water next to my hydroponic set up. Thanks in advance!

    Are the dark brown roots firm? Or mushy? Usually new roots would be lighter in color

      Firm! I replace the water like once a week and rinse off the roots and they don’t feel slimy either. These are the first 2 roots that sprouted so they’ve been in there a few weeks, I don’t know if that matters
