So I put my marble Queen in to dark of a spot sort of above the window I meant to lower her but she was there for a couple weeks I think for I really realized the plant was half dead and even after fertilizing it and waiting for the soil to dry out it's just not looking good so I was going to check on the roots but I pulled it out and there were no roots just the aerial nodes, so I rinsed off the soil, and put it in a cup of water with some pebbles at the bottom, under a grow light, I guess we see what happens 😩🤦‍♀️ 🪴 also the app had me fertilize it 5 days ago which didn't do much of anything but now that I'm looking to see when the next time I fertilize is the app hasn't paused and it says this plant doesn't require any fertilizer... 🥴😑Wut also do I need a special fertilizer for my variegated plants like her and others? What do you recommend if so

    Oh wow! Sorry about your pothos. I only use the miracle grow plant food in mine the liquid for the top soil. However, when I repot I use the miracle grow shake and feed in the soil next to the root ball. Those in water I even squirt some in the water

    Is your plant in a nursery pot that is inside the mug? Or is it just planted in the mug? Basically, does it have any drainage holes?

    I read that it’s in water right now, has no new roots but has aerial roots. It doesn’t need fertilizer until it puts out new roots to absorb the nutrients. It’s better to place it in a clear plastic or glass container. Recycled food jars will work. This allows you to see the new roots and to see if the water needs replacing. The pebbles are not needed during propagation. It’s just more to clean when you change out the water.

    Yeah it's definitely just in a cup of water basically no soil, that is a good idea about the clear pot I think I really just put it in here because I couldn't find a jar at the time, my husband wasn't home and I'm literally blind so I wasn't really sure where he had the jars LOL I wasn't really sure why people say to put pebbles in water I just figured I'd do it just in case 😩
