Brotanical Bry
I just got this little guy a few days ago. This is how it was when I bought it. Should I leave the rootball as is and repot or break it up a little? Any advice on using mycorrhizae? Thanks !!

If you’ve already repotted it, I don’t think it’s worth uprooting it again, but if it is still loose then breaking it up some wouldn’t hurt. I find that reaching straight up in the middle is usefully successful to knock some old dirt loose. Either way, it’s a pretty hardy plant

That’s the way I purchased it. I didn’t repot it yet are the roots considered root bound?

Oh interesting! It doesn’t look like the soil takes up the whole pot. It wouldn’t hurt then to break it up and add fresh soil

A Walmart purchase lol I’m guessing someone knocked it over at some point and just plopped it back in

SunnyIt’s getting close to being root bound. But, the plant looks healthy with no spots/dry tips/yellowing. So, no rush to repot it right away. The priority should be to let it get acclimated to its new home for 2-4 weeks. Then, repot afterwards when its stress from moving is resolved.

So I wanted to repot because it’s not really in the pot (if that makes sense) it easily slides out the pot

The plant easily coming out of the pot is not necessarily a reason to repot unless the plant looks like it’s suffering. You can repot if you are uncomfortable with it as it is. Note, that the repot will damage roots if you remove old soil and break apart the roots which could cause yellowing and dropped leaves. More stress until the plants settles again.
