Hi! I got a pothos from a friend about a year ago and it hasn’t grown at all. It’s just not doing anything. Any tips?!? I’ve moved it cause I’ve thought too much sun/not enough sun, I water it every 1.5 weeks or so, I got indoor miracle grow spray and it still hasn’t done anything! Thanks so much!

    I can’t see the size of the root ball so I’m going based on the size of the plant. I think the pot is too large for a plant this size. The plant may be focusing on developing a stronger root system over pushing out leaves. I recommend checking the roots and possibly repotting into a pot 1-2 inches wider than the root ball.

    That are hardy plants. I’d use ur app to read on it. But it can be in full light or partial. But watering could be an issue. But then if you had it for a year and nothing is happening maybe add a little fertilizer to it. Maybe needs a little help. You can use foliage pro or small very small amount of miracle grow to ur water.

    If they had just dropped it, it is more than likely focusing on roots, not shoots. It looks super healthy, just leave it be in bright indirect sun, and it'll put out leaves when it's done growing it's roots.

    The soil around my starter pothos that size usually dried out in 4-5 days with good air circulation (ceiling fan) and under a grow light 12 hours a day. I recommend reducing the pot size to a smaller one (2.5” to 4”). I’m assuming the current pot is larger than 4” wide. It’s hard to tell. Add a single plant grow light to get consistent lighting for 12 hours to 14 hours a day. A warmer room or seedling heating pad will encourage growth. I would use timed release fertilizer beads or 50 percent diluted liquid fertilizer each month to ensure the plant is getting enough fertilizer. I’ve found the spray on ones less effective with small surface area plants.
