My Everly, she had a mushy leaf and this other leaf that rotted at the base?? I took her out and everything looks ok. I cut off the spots that the leaf came from just in case. What happened??

    I can’t say for sure, but my guess would be that it experienced just a little bit of overwatering, which you wisely noticed before it turned into any kind of root rot or fungal issue, so good job! If that’s the case, you just need to let the soil dry out more in between watering. When Planta tells me to water my pothos, I like to stick a chopstick 75% of the way into the soil first to make sure it comes out dry- that’s how I know it’s ready to be watered. Using a well-draining chunky soil mix can also help a lot.
