Maybe a silly question, but should I water my pothos after repotting? I gave it some chunkier soil to drain better but it always seems to be super sensitive to overwatering. When I completed the task the water prompt disappeared. I know not to fertilize yetâŠTIA
The water prompt disappears because Planta assumes that you watered it as part of the repotting process. I always water after repotting because it helps to support the roots and helps the soil settle even more around the roots. The only time I wait to water is if I had to trim roots back. I also try to typically time when I repot to be on a watering day if I can help it for that reason, but itâs not the end of the world if you donât. The most important thing is to let it dry out at least 50% of the way before watering again.

Yes and no. Normally yes. If you ever have to repot a plant because itâs waterlogged, then wait. Or if you repot some sort of cacti or succulent and rinse it off to look at the roots, that typically counts as their water. So everything is kind of circumstantial. In this case, if it was very sensitive to overwatering, and you had just watered it recently before repotting I may not. But even then one water is unlikely to kill it. It looks very healthy.
