My dearly beloved cats knocked my manjula pothos off the sideboard. It was sizing up nicely and I'm sad this happened. That said, I did realize a month or so ago that this type of moss pole is not a good fit for this type of pothos... The pole's mesh is pretty small and the pothos's roots are pretty thick. What would y'all do? Chop & prop? Let it stay on its too-small moss pole, since it is attaching and sizing up even though it's not perfect? Throw the whole thing in the trash and cry...?? I'm open to suggestions lol

    My chunky cat has had her moments of wanting to garden, too (she's ALWAYS proud of her devastating “work.”) I’d chop, prop, and ditch the moss pole.

    I feel your pain. This happened last April and oddly, it really changed my plant’s trajectory because she’s huuuuge now. So maybe you’ll have a similar success story with a newer pot/pole.

    Well, chopping and propping was definitely the right call! This is one of the props, the biggest one. But they're all doing well and looking great, and the big top section has rerooted and is climbing again!
