Good afternoon my pothos people lol!! I’ve had my plant in water for about a year. Would it be a crazy move to plant it now or should I leave it in water? I want it to produce more leaves lol thanks !! (This is an old picture but it’s current size is a little bigger than this)

A year is definitely long enough for it to be ready to go into the dirt, the roots in the picture look to be a good length for it too. I’d go for it!

I am hesitant because of it being in water for so long and was unsure how it’ll react

Pothos are pretty resilient, so I still think that it’ll be fine in the dirt after being in the water for so long. Most of the time the biggest thing is just that it has long enough roots to live in the dirt (which should be about 2 inches). Yours definitely look at least that long, so I think you’ll be good to go :)

I’ve moved plenty of Pothos plants from being in water long-term to being in soil. In my experience, they seem to go through a little bit of shock at first, but after a few weeks, they start to look normal again. If you want to keep it in water and get it to sprout new leaves, you might consider a hydroponic fertilizer of some sort to add to the water. That has also worked really all for me and stimulating growth in my water plants.

Did it get fertilizer while in water? Be sure to fertilize it as it gets acclimated to soil. You can reduce fertilizer in colder months.

I haven’t given fertilizer in a few months. Can I still give fertilizer in winter if it’s still in water?
