I got this Marble Queen Pothos a couple of weeks ago, and it is my first pothos ever. It has some new leaves sprouting up and the first new one has grown in since I've bought it. The leaf grew with some brown spots, and looking at the other ones growing, they appear to have some damage as well. The plant seems to be doing well otherwise. Any advice is very welcome as I have no experience with this plant!!

You might need to up the humidity in your room for the brown spots, especially if they’re on the tops of the leaves, but I sadly don’t know why there are holes in the leaves. 😅

Thank you! The room it is in is definitely pretty dry and I've been thinking about a humidifier for this plant as well as some others, but I'll look more into that now

I think the second photo with the holes in the leaf are likely from mechanical damage - like being knocked around during transport etc. The rest of the leaf and plant looks healthy!

My first set of leaves I got after taking my pothos home had some brown/holes on them and I was told that the first set of leaves developed in the care of the nursery so wasn’t something I did and essentially to ignore it. If the second set of leaves to grow also do the same then it’s something in my environment that caused it. So perhaps keep an eye on her to see how the next are

My first leave that opened looked like that too. And today’s she’s looking pretty good (save for a few holes) and she even has a baby leaf to continue the vine. Hope your pothos grows up nicely now they’ve got you as their plant parent!
