Can someone help me figure out why this is happening to Jawa? Part of the plant got rotten but the other part looks healthy. Is it going to get worse?

    What does your watering schedule look like? It seems like Jawa may have been getting a bit too much water — the stems are showing signs of rot above the soil. I’d gently remove Jawa from the pot to check the roots. If there’s root rot, you may find some of the roots have softened or disappeared, and that’s okay — it’s fixable! Trim away any mushy or dark, rotten areas, then repot in a chunky, well-draining mix. I’d hold off on watering for a few days to let the plant dry out and focus its energy on growing healthy new roots.

      I agree it looks over watered. The schedule is just a suggestion/reminder to check and see if your plant needs water. If you snooze the action (when they are still wet) then the app will adjust to your environment/plant needs

      The app schedule is a useful reminder tool, but I recommend that you always check the soil moisture before watering. I use bamboo skewers and stick into the soil before watering. Have you checked the roots, what condition are they in?
