Not a pothos question but hoping the community can help. I have a snake plant that is spreading out. Does it need repotting? It’s been in the same pot for over two years. Just started to fall. I took it out of the pot and it has spindly roots around edge of root ball but not large tubers showing. Should I tie the leaves together? Thanks for any advice..

    Check the base of the stalks are the solidly attached to the main root system? Whenever I have a falling stalk I go down about 2in into the soil and check that the base of that stalk hasn’t rotted. If it is rotted I rock it back and forth firmly to see if it loosens and if need be help by cutting it with shears

    Ooh that’s rotted, it wasn’t getting enough light and probably watered too often. I believe you can propagate a piece of the healthy part though.

    Snake plants prefer to be root bound. You can most likely repot into a smaller pot. I water most all of my snake plants every 8-12 weeks. You definitely want to make sure they are completely dry prior to watering. 😊

    Mine is not rotten on bottom. The leaves just seem to all of a sudden start to lean out so I thought maybe it’s crowded
