Got my first plant from Home Depot it came like this.💚 I set up my little plant near my kitchen window, I I don’t know if I’m supposed to repot the plant or just keep it in the jar ? How often do I water it ? Also, first time using this app to help me, learn how to take care of plants and grow plants and vegetables in the future. It didn’t come with a tag that tells me what to do or what the plant is called or anything I’m just going by what Google told me.
You can repot if you want or just leave it in water. If you leave it in water be sure to fertilize. As for watering, you can just top up the water when it gets low or if it looks gross, dump it out and clean the jar.

These are very easy plants. Leaving in water means you can see the roots and know the overall plant health. However, I haven’t seen many large water based pothos. Typically I use water for propagation to grow good roots. Once there is secondary root growth (roots growing off the main roots) then I pot them in soil. I usually water every other week, add liquid fertilizer once a month. They need bright indirect light. I’ve never burnt one from too much light, but without the right amount of light I have had leaves yellow and die.
You have the option to do either here are some benefits of both: Stay- very easy to care for just refill the water when it gets low and fertilize monthly. Just make sure the roots are able to get out of the pot because eventually the roots will get stuck and either the roots of pot has to go. Repot- This option will shock the plant a little bit as long as you plant in a chicly soil mix your plant should do great and probably grow better than in water. You will still need to fertilize monthly. Also make sure your pot has drainage!!! Also you can give it full bright light or indirect bright light (outside or next to a sunny window). If you decide on soil water once a week. Golden Pothos are super easy to care for so you should do great! :)

Agree with all above. I do have one over my kitchen sink for almost 2 yrs in water. I've only increased the vase. Very low maintenance. When then vines get long I trim and stick back in the vase to fill it out.
