What does it mean when the new pothos leaves that should unfurl on the stem get a dry casing?

    low humidity. try misting them, or get a humidifier if you can! pothos love humidity! if the leaf is already out of the casing then the casing drying & dying off is normal, they have served their purpose and they don't have any real benefit to the plant at that point
