my pothos’ leaves turn yellow after i water them. does anyone know what’s going on?

    I could be overwatering or too much fertilizer. Both can cause leaves to yellow. Older leaves can yellow and fall off regardless of watering. It’s the plant shedding older leaves to put energy into new growth.🪴🍀

    Moved all my pothos to Naked Root planters and they are SO happy. They are expensive- but when you see them grow and those roots, it’s so worth it.

    If the leaves are towards the top of the vine and are yellowing over time, then it’s normal! Over time the plant will shed old leaves to welcome in new growth :) If it’s all the leaves/leaves lower down on the vine, then it’s likely overwatering. I would reccomend either adding some kind of perlite or airating substance into the soil or spacing out your watering days. :)

    thanks everyone! i do have them in hanging pots with saucers on the bottom that i don’t empty out so i’ll start by emptying them after watering and see if that helps! i’m thinking that would be similar to overwatering with them soaking for longer than they are needing?
