What do I do with the long leads that are no producing leaves. Over all my pothos is healthy and huge. It goes around my whole kitchen.

    i would chop them, or try keiki paste - it's a growth stimulating paste you put on nodes to encourage new leaves

      it does take a while though, so i'd go for a chop!

    Your plant looks amazing, seriously blown away. When vines get super long or very far away from their energy source, they stop producing leaves at the tip. This isn’t anything bad, just the plant is focused on maintaining and keeping everything alive, rather than new growth. it looks like she’s stretched herself to her limits, and honestly you can just trim back those bare branches, it might encourage new growth or it might grow back exactly the same 😅. Anyway, she’s happy overall. Your next move is an aesthetic move, rather than a diagnosis.

      Thank you! I will do that. I’ve had her probably about 8 years. My favorite.

      I’d also suggest propagating and replanting in the same pot if there is enough room. It will become bushier, way fuller and honestly probably take over your kitchen in the next 2-3 years.

      Me, too. I trim and root the cuttings to either put back in the same pot to make it bushier or to give as gifts.

    It needs a lot more light. It drops leaves it can’t support. Add a grow light or two above the pot. Cut off all the vines back to the rim of the pot. Give away or propagate short cuttings in water. Then, replant into the pot. It may need fertilizer if it’s not getting it every month. 🪴🍀

      Thank you. Yes I’ve slacked on the fertilizer lately. Going to do that today.

    You could try wrapping them into a small planter and pinning the nodes into the soil. They could root and possibly start growing leaves! Then you can chop and have a whole new plant:)

    UPDATE on my pothos!! I chopped and propped. Fertilized and added a grow light. Shes looking much better. Thank y’all for all the help!
