SOS 😢 Can my pothos be saved? It used to be my pride and joy but it suffered after my dad passed in November. I think it had some frostbite after being left outside, was under watered, then overwatered. Leaves turned yellow and it started dropping vines. It’s been in the same pot with drainage for 3 years but I was afraid to repot during the winter. I tried wrapping some of the bald vines back into the soil but it didn’t seem to help. I really don’t want to lose this plant. What can I do?

Get some Bobby pins like the kind for your hair and take all of your stems and wrap them around the top of the soil and use the Bobby pins to secure them in the dirt then fertilize your plant and only water it once the top 1-2 inches of soil are dry by the end of this summer your plant should be back to being bushy and long!

I tried to wrap them a few weeks ago but I think my mistake was overwatering!

If the soil hasn’t been changed in the three years it’s in desperate need of a refresh possibly. Also after you repot give it more light. Water when it’s 50 to 75 percent dry. My pothos thrive right in front of a window

I was afraid it was too cold to repot, should I be okay to do it now?

I repot indoors to not add any extra stress to my plants. A repotting mat helps.

I just repotted my plants indoors. As long as it’s not too cold, they should be fine. You could also try propagating in sphagnum moss with a closed lid (using the bare stems) to have a backup from your cat getting to them šŸ™‚

Pothos are easy to cut and propagate in water, so you can make it a fuller plant. Give it a fresh new start šŸ™‚

I’m going to try! Last time I tried to propagate my cat attacked them so I’ll keep them away šŸ˜‚

I have had a lot of success with keikei paste on my pothos to increase growth!
