My Pothos propagations were thriving in the hot humid outdoor environment in Charleston. Then a storm came for a few days and when I checked back it looks like someone has gone to town on them. Snails, caterpillars? I sprayed with neem and put bonide in the soil. Any other suggestions? All 3 propagation pots were affected but curiously my Swiss cheese right next door was untouched.

I do not recommend pesticide use. This looks to be the result of a plant eating mollusk who came in to the porch from the rain. If the nibbles were not happening before the storm I do not expect them to happen after the storm even without the use of pesticides. Pesticide use in agriculture is one of the causes of our degraded soil health in many places. Regenerative agriculture is processes which focus on re-establishing soil health such as mulching and in the case of ranching, rotations of grazing animals among plots of grassland.
