I want to know how to make chunky soil for pothos I have a lot of marble, pothos and joy, pearls and jade, a neon pothos at my office but i also think their not getting a lot of sun from the window so is there a way i can 1 make their soils chunky and drainage so the don’t root rot? And 2 do i have to move them completely. Here’s some photos to try and show the distance and they’re cropped for privacy reasons

get them as close to the window as you can — get eye level with them make sure each of them can “see” the sun

I mix potting mix, perlite, and orchid bark. I’ve seen a couple of different people recommend mixing these in equal parts, but I don’t really measure and I just add stuff until the mix looks good. I’ve added other things before, too, like vermiculite, charcoal, snd worm castings, but they aren’t necessary. I repotted several plants this spring, and I was presently surprised to find no root rot, so it must work. I also wait until the plants are almost completely dry between waterings, though. I use a wooden skewer to check the soil moisture levels.
